Spell recall

I am no expert. Nor are 80% of people who use this sight. I see on the forums people recommending the spell book but I remained inactive for over 2 months because all the crappy spells that don't work discouraged me. But now I'm back hopeing to fix it.
I want the moderators who know how to use spells to finde the obvious spells that don't work ( ala harry potter spells and junk) to be removed. However you can get them removed. Then remove those that don't work that may not be so obvious.
Also covens need to restrict how many spells they can put in the spell book. And the content of the spells.
Theas may seem like major reforms. But they will help aspiring young wizards to learn magic that isn't from a fiction novel. It will help the sight grow.
If you agree say what you'd want to see chaing.
And remember, think of the children that are to gullible to see that " alohamora" isn't a real spell. :) Ty for your time.

I agree! The requirements should be stricter. Who allows a mermaid spell to appear on this site?? There are to many spells in the spellbook. It is just quantity, no quality!

This could easily be sorted out by applying a bit of logic when you read. Being able to read, comprehend, and otherwise digest that which you explore is a large part of developing mind and spirit.

Good point. But to those who are new and want to learn don't know what they should believe and what is crap. And some spells iv seen are just a blank screen. All it is is a bump to the spell count. So why lie about the number if real spells this sight has.

As unfortunate as the spellbook state is in. Asking the moderating staff to sift through thousands of spells is a long shot. If one (or more) of you has the time, why don't you volunteer to go through the spells yourself?

Its not about how good the spell is, but what is obvious fiction and what is not. A spell doesn't need to rhyme or be very detailed to work to some extent.

I also believe that "invisibility" and "glamour" spells should have a note attached explaining that the nature of these spells are not literal, an invisibility spell prevents people from noticing/registering you easily, and glamour spells are meant to blurr onlooker's perspective of your appearance.

I personally don't have the time to do such work, and that's why I don't expect the current moderation to have this time. But perhaps one of you who have experience does have the time.

If we were able to "comment" under a spell, I think that might be an easier solution. Because it would be a community effort to make sure the novice understands what the general (magickally inclined) public has to say about each spell.

I agree with the 2 posts above. Their are over 300 spells made to jack around. At least 10 are blank. And most are bull.
