Joshua, thank you for resubmitting your post into a more reasonable Forum, before I answer your question I will need to tell you, so it doesn't count as spam by making duplicate threads, you may want to delete the old thread, this prevents you from getting into trouble for it. Now, to answer your question, wordings in spells help focus visualization, getting the words messed up may alter the visualization you have, I would recommend memorizing the spell to help visualization.

If you want to use specific words or phrases, then memorising may be helpful, it avoids the distraction of checking a sheet of paper and helps to maintain focus, although it can feel somewhat rehearsed.

That being said, words are not a requirement in magickal workings, some people choose to use them, other have never used words, it is all personal preference for you.

You can always memorise a written passage you want to use in a spell and see how you feel about doing so, if it feels to regimented, to repeated, try making words up on the spot to keep it fluid or not use words at all.

I deleted your most recent identical post on this topic. Please do not post the same question over and over. That is considered spamming and is against the rules of this website.

As the others have mentioned, you do not have to memorize the words of a spell, but doing so makes it easier in many ways to concentrate on the other things such as raising energy that make a spell work. However, if you are concerned that you might forget the words in the middle of casting a spell, by all means go ahead and write it down and read them.
