Mostly atheists, will claim that people follow and believe in gods, in order to have strentgh to support themselves...to many issues, like what happens after death, or they ask their help in difficult situations and more.

I'm not an atheist, I believe in all gods. I follow only one Deity, and that because I really, really love that Deity. People should feel in this way with their true gods (if they have one). They worship and follow them because they love them. That's why, and what made people do it.

There are lots of reason i can count but there are 3 type of people i see alot;

1- Who grow up being religious and have constant fear of hell and hope of heaven. They worship in order to achieve that reward.

2nd group love them. They feel like they're completed with them.

3rd group have both 1st and 2nd groups view. They love and want to be in heaven so they can reach their gods.

i've always been spiritual, so even after i lost my connection with Christianity, i still searched for 'god' which eventually led me to Wicca. my matron Goddess i stumbled across. she felt right [if that makes sense] and i wanted to do more for her, and to act like her [so to speak] to be an example of what she represented. so i guess inspiration, protection, love, guidance, those are a few reasons why i follow my deities. it is nice to know when things get tough you're not alone, and when things are good it's because not only you, but them [yes, i do believe some things in life are tests and/or rewards by the divine] i don't follow a deity because i fear the afterlife, or because everyone else told me, it just feels right to me. if you believe or don't believe, it's your life, i just hope you treat everyone with the same level of respect [i'm talking if someone is an Atheist, Christian, Pagan or whatever, if they're nice to you, don't mock their views]

I can't speak for anyone else, but I can describe why I do things :)

I've always believed in a God, ever since my earliest memories, which are from when I was 3-4 years old. I believe because I have enough personal proof of a deity and its helper spirits to know that something is out there. Can I prove this to anyone else? No. I'd rather not try. I've tried becoming atheist. Didn't work for me. The creator and its helpers just got louder :)

This creation spirit comes to me in various forms, so I tend to see the Gods as representations of one source. If all my experiences are brain farts and due to some sort of Psychosis, oh well. At least I've lived a good life. I have no fear of death. If there's nothing after this life, so be it :)

What leads me to follow a higher power the most is probably thankfulness, for the everyday as well as the Divine. That's what i think makes worship so awesome.

This is why we need to trust in god,
1.He is god not man,
Numbers:23:19a(KJV)Says:"God is not a man, that he should lie;neither the son of man, that he should repent... "Man does not always have full control of his circumstances to his words all the time buf God does.

2.He is a promise keeping god,
Psalm 89:34(KJV)Says:"My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips."God respect covenants and His words(sciptures) are His covenants with man.God's own part of covenants is always and fulfilled. It is man's own part that is always changing.God is the same as yesterday, today and forever.

3.What He says He mean,
Number 23:19b(KJV)Says,"...hath he said, and shall he not do it?or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?." Also Isaiah 55:11 says "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:it shall not return unto me word, but it shall accomplish that which i please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I send it."God does not play with His promises. If He said it then consider it done.God is faithful.

4.Nothing is dificult or hard fro Him,
Jeremiah 32:27(KJV)Says,"Behold,I am the LORD,the god of all flesh:is there anything too hard for me? "No matter what you case or situation, may be God can and will hadle it if you trust and allow Him to take over the case.

5.He will never forget His child,
Isaiah 49:15(KJV)Says,"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she shall have compassion on the son of her womb?Yea,they may forget,Yet will I not forget thee."Though God has the whole world to attend to,unlike man,He will never fail to remember you and your desire as an individual.Everyone is important to Him and that also includes you.

6.He will never forsake His child,
Hebrews 13:5 Says,"Let your conversation be without covetousness:and be content with such things as ye have:for he hath said,"I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."Man may forsake or abandon you, especially when things are not going fine on you,but not God.When you trust the faithfulness of god,you will see Him manifest on your behalf

7.He has his record on keeping His word,
1 Kings 22:13(KJV)Says,"Bless be the LORD that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised:there hath not failed one word of al his good promise, which he promise by the hand of Moses his promise." God's yes is yes.He is trustworthy, dependable and reliable.God is peaceful.

8.He is the Alpha and Omega,
Revelations 22:13(KJV)Says,"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end,the first and the last." You can trust the faithfulness of God because He knows the end from the beginning.God's word for that situation is the best because He already knows the end of the situation if you obey His word and when you don't.

9.Faithfulness is God's nature,
Galations :522(AMP)Says,"But the fruit of the [Holy] spirit [The work which his presence within accomolishes] is love, joy(gladness),peace, patience(an even temper, forbearence, kindness, goodness(benevolence),faithfulness," The faithfulness of God is sure and certain.God can't help being faithful because it is His nature.

10.He cannot deny Himself,
2 Timothy 2:13(AMP)Says,"If we are faithless [did not believe and are untrue to Him] ,He remains true(faithful to His word and His righteous character),for He cannot deny himself." For His name sake,He will show himself fathful,God will not because of the actions of man deny Himself as a faithful God.

In conclusion,God is faithful now and forever more to fulfil His word in you life. There is nothing impossible with God.With men it maybe impossible but with God all things is possible,Matthew 19:26.Therefor,trust in faithfulness of God and you will see His glory upon your life.
