I am trying to get more in sync with the gods. i currently study them, and are in somewhat sync, but i wish to please them and worship them better. particularly Ullr.

Praying to them, and offerings are a good way to start out on connecting with the gods. Offer them food, poems, trinkets, anything you'd think they like.

Not unless you have a certain way you want to do it. People have altars that are dedicated to certain gods, they have a chant/prayer they make. You can look up some chants and prayers. I find it more convinient if you make your own chant/prayer, it puts more intention into the prayer/chant. But, that's my own opinion. I hoped this helped you a bit more

There isn't a set in stone way to build an altar. It would depend on which wights or deities you wanted to honor with it, and how you wanted to go about it.

The people I know who honor the Norse Gods have a shelf on a book shelf that they keep an ancestral altar. I think their working altar is a night stand. Not sure on that though. The gods aren't picky on what you use, just as long as you honor them :)
