Welcome to SoM! You may want to start a new thread for the aura questions. Some people skip over the newbie threads so they might not see the questions you have. Blessed Be!

Welcome to SoM and Wicca! To define Magick, would be.. Releasing a energy from your body, into the universe, and that certain energy sort of "makes" or manifests into your desire or spell. It can be a bit confusing. Do some research on Wicca and different types of Wicca so you can find the right one for yourself. Look into making a Book Of Shadows (journal) to keep spells, rituals, candle color meanings, aura color meanings and more. I recommend before starting spells try meditation and do more research. I still research and I'm practising a Year! I think a Witch is always open to getting more knowledge.
Blessed Be ~

Welcome reverieblue. I recommend checking out the general info section to gain a basic understanding of how magic works. I have also read the book Lark recommends "Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig and agree it is helpful and easy to understand

fullmoon1012 I don't see anywhere her saying she wants to practice Wicca. Wicca is a religion and is not required for using magic. In fact there are many magical paths that allow use of magic, even the big monotheistic religions do to a limited extent.
