Dark magic?

Idk if this is the right place to post this.. but anyways. I was wondering about the dark magic and its aspects. I am not taking the dark magic path ofc. But here is a question about the dark magic. So when we are doind dark magic spells and getting items. Are we doing that for dark spirits (demons)?? And in return they give us specific thing as the item we gave them? And again am not planning on going into the dark magic path. Just wondering. .

I think you should study more about what magic is, and what spells are.
A spell is not magic! A spell is a ritual attempt to obtain a magical result.

what your saying is that the results of magic comes from spirits, if that was true, then what would that make spirits, if they were humans being bound, but having power after death? the magical results of magic is not caused by spirits, it is caused by intent, the will to use magic, and the energy required for the spell(s). Brysing was right when he said a spell was not magic, in my opinion, a spell is a focus like any wand or such to use the magic.

white and dark magic are just labels for magic, it is the intent of the person using magic that makes it dark or white. you really should study a bit more to understand the workings of magic

Spirits don't necessarily mean dead people.

I suggest people not treat one word with a universal definition, everyone has a different view of magic and how it works. Not that I disagree with your points, just that I know many would.

There are some traditions of magic, and I say magic because it has been called that for centuries, in which demons (or rather, beings considered demons) have been called up/evoked and a deal made with them.

Some people like to view them s concrete beings, others like to view them as projections of portions of the practitioner's own subconscious. Some people don't question and only care about the result.

All in all, the definition for dark/black magic differs between each individual practitioner too. There is no real difference in the mechanics, just in the morality of the ritual being performed.
