Jinxing

Have you ever heard of jinxing it, as in causing something bad to happen by saying you are sure it wont? Have you ever heard someone say "dont jinx it" or "dont jinx me"? I was just wondering if its real or just a superstition and if it is real, why does life work that way?

Have you heard of the term, correlation does not affect causation? It's superstition basically, but it doesn't mean that one could "jinx" something in a sentence and then the thing they tried not to "jinx" happened, it's just not so likely.

I'm good at jinxing things, it a little trick I tend to do but not on purpose. But what does it matter what I say, I'm a newbie :)

I would say its a superstition if I hadn't said some stuff that has happened so its not exactly jinxing but rather knowing like a premonition that it might happen like a six sense.
