Buying herbs. Whats best?
By:
Im thinking of starting an herb garden somwhere in the house. (Probably the kitchen so it doesnt look akward somwhere else) Im only going to start with one plant to begin with. That way if it dies i wont have a bunch of herbs dead. Anyway, I got off topic.
What is the most frequently used herb in the spells you have done? Or, Which herb have you seen listed in the spells you have read? I have thought about getting sage. But I dont know how often I will use it. Also if I dont use it often in spells I will have it to cook with so there is no downside.

I would go with lavender personally, something you won't normally have in your cupboards(you'd be surprised how many good herbs are in there.).

I was going to buy it when I go to town next week. Do you use that herb in cooking?

Lavender? No I haven't. I was saying check your kitchen because often enough there is a plethora of useful herbs. That way you aren't growing what you already have.

I love and grow the herbs Sage and Rosemary. Each have very many magickal and non magickal properties! :)

Growing lavendar inside might be a problem. It needs space. I would suggest rosemary, sage and thyme, and maybe oregano. They are all used in cooking, so you'd have dual purpose. Sage, rosemary, and t hyme are good for poultry dishes, as they are included in what you buy at the store as poultry seasoning. Oregano is good for pasta and pizza, and any Italian dish. I even add it to meatloaf. Good luck with your gardening. Blessed Be...

Oregano is a lovely herb to grow indoors. It's the herb of joy and happiness, and is also great in cooking. It makes for a happy home all round :)
