Recurring dreams
By: / Novice
Now while I am reluctant to expose the nature of my own dreams I will confess to being afflicted by the malady.

I consider a 'Recurring dream' to be one experienced over many years not a matter of week or months with no deviation from its narrative even if aware that one is in a dream state. There are many books on dreams and dream interpretation but little is mentioned about recurring dreams other than an unresolved state or condition and PTSD. I would like to know some other insights into why people that have no apparent reason to do so (No unresolved trauma in past or life) would be reliving dreams over and over again.

Is it like the ignored message in voicemail trying to make us sit up and pay attention. Could it be a call for help from someone else struggling with something and reaching out to other attuned minds.

I know dreams are very subjective and I'm not so interested in the interpretation of said dreams but more 'why' they hammer away at us when others are just fleeting does it denote importance or a greater meaning.
