Wonderful Greetings

Hello all! I'd rather not disclose my real name, so...I guess I'm Maxwell on this site. I'm male and 16. I've been a guest on this site for a few months, but it's only been recently that I made an account. I'm a bit nervous so...

Regardless, don't take me for just a typical adolescent who's going through some stage in life and has decided to implement witchcraft for an easy fix. I know better than that.

Anyways, I know a few things about magick (yes, I type magick, not magic), but it's not as if I claim myself to be an expert. Though, I wouldn't mind being taught by someone here in Reno, NV. ...It's such a boring place.

I've been a Jehovah's Witness and still am. (Though I'd like to not be. Nothing against the religion nor its followers! Just my father who sets a bad example.) I don't really enjoy invoking other Gods and Goddesses, so I try to keep my incantations as misc. towards deities (spirit of dance, spirit of air, etc.) as possible.

I'm not much of a ritual person, since I don't have the necessary items nor locations, and I also don't want to do it alone. Once I'm allowed to move out though, I may do a ritual here and there.

I don't remember how I got interested in the occult, but...perhaps it was because I seeked something else. Something a bit more fulfilling. Plus, doesn't life just seem more interesting seeing it in a magical way than a scientific way? I might just be a hopeful daydreamer about magic itself.

White magic or black magic, I don't really believe that magic or good or evil. I mostly focus on the intent of it.

Hmm...there was something else I wanted to put...but it seems my mind is slipping. Oh well! Anyways, hello all, this is me, and I hope you have a wonderful day. :D

May the spirits of life and laughter guide you.

Blessed be.

hi Maxwell, nice to meet you. it's true magic [i only type 'magick' when referring to Dragon Magick, but it really doesn't matter] has no colour, it's intent. you cast a spell for a positive or negative reason. as you go on in magic though, you'll notice a lot of grey.

i have a friend who's a Jehovah Witness, her family doesn't like me, she comes over to my place for Sabbats, but doesn't tell her parents really. she's not planning on converting, she's just interested in my religion, so she comes over to watch.

you really don't need to have a big ritual, just acknowledged the particular day [a sabbat or a moon phase] and that's about it. don't even have to say it a loud. i remember when i was starting out i was always so nervous when i did things by myself, if i screwed up. still have that worry, but it's very small. i don't really cast spells that often, and i've gotten circle casting down, so i don't have much to worry about. should always double check things though.

good luck to you, welcome to the site, and blessed be.

Hello Maxwell. Welcome to the site.

I'm sure you and I ran into each other when we were really little. I used to live in Reno, and my mother was a Jehovah's Witness. Such a small world it is sometimes.

Blessed Be
