What does this mean?

I've been meditating on and off for a bit as a stepping stone into magic, but I have a couple questions about going a bit further. How do I know if I had gathered energy? What does it feel like? Is it physical, emotional or something else?

Also, I meditated with my eyes open today and it was very different. I put myself into a theatre and approached a woman in a dress. She turned and said hi, then (this is actually funny) she asked me if I wanted to do it doggy style. In the real world, I'd probably be like "hell yeah", but on instinct I jumped back and said "no, I'm not like that, I have respect". I ran away and felt eyes watching me in the theatre, like actually felt them. Once I got to the lobby, my mom was there and he told me she came here to see the woman I was going to marry. I turned and the woman in the dress was there. Again I said "no, this is not meant to be". I ran outside and sat next to a tree. I felt so comfortable in the grass next to that tree. I took out my Dream Journal that I use sometimes, then I realized I was dreaming (not actually dreaming, but in my day dream I was dreaming if that makes sense). My mom and the woman were watching me from the entrance (which was now my old high school) as if they couldn't go beyond the door. I heard a fire truck in the distance and ran to help, feeling the wind in my face. When I got there, it wasn't a fire truck, but an ambulance with an old woman on a stretcher. She'd been shot. She told me to protect her son, David. I said I couldn't, that I wasn't powerful yet. Then I looked up at the sky and yelled. Suddenly I was in my Field of Dreams (an empty beautiful place I like to go when I meditate) It was thundering there for the first time ever. I told the sun to come out and it took 3 attempts to actually work (mental blockage I guess) Then I opened my eyes.

Does this mean anything? What have I accomplished? I'm not very knowledgable on meditating or magic, so maybe someone could help me out. I basically sat down with my eyes open and thought on instinct. I tried to make it a rich enviroment using all my senses and I think it worked. Ansd btw, I know no one named David, I don't even have a gf and I haven't been to high school in over 3 years.

Sorry for the long story, but thanks for the help.

You will ususally feel a tingling, warmth, or just feel more energetic after and/or while gathering energy. I really dont know about that dream though sorry.

Only you can decipher the details. Try not to look at them literally. You were being pressured with responsibility and things you do not feel right doing. Peer and authority figure pressures in real life perhaps? Or maybe you feel pressure to reach other people's expectations. There is a definite theme there. You were journeying through your mind. You experienced your subconscious while awake (we usually do so in dreams while sleeping). The storm in your place of peace screams that you are going through stresses that are disturbing you. You had difficulty controlling it because you are equally having difficulty controling your emotions. We most commonly compare emotional states to weather. And storms are significant of frustration, sorrow with anger, or depression.

Its great that you were able to witness all of this, but you need to work on interpretting it for yourself. I suggest picking up a psychology book on the subconscious and dreams so that you will have an easier time discerning them yourself.

Now that you have an idea of what it all means, you can begin working on correcting it both through action and reaction (in your life), and gaining a good grasp on your thoughts and emotions through meditation by not burying your negativity but by facing it and letting it go.

Wow, thanks for the help. It's weird, because I wasn't in a trance at all, I was literally sitting there and letting random thoughts take me. I could have opened my eyes at any time, I was just curious as to see what else would happen. Does it still mean something if I was completely awake and aware?

Not really. People often sit, clear their mind and let whatever thoughts come to them come as a practice to peer into their subconcious and often work out how they really feel or just to help practice get into a meditative state. If you were doing this just because without knowing it was an actual thing people did to practice that then good job on thinking of it.

You don't need to be in a trance to explore your subconscious. A meditative state is all that's necessary.
