Possible dream block??
By:
Ever scince I've lived in this town (for privacys sake I will not name this town) I have had little to no dreams. When I go to relatives houses in different cities I will have dreams again, it's weird I don't understand it. Could someone/something be blocking my dreams? And if so, why? Rarely I will have a dream and it's the type of dream where it comes true in the future. I've done some searching but nothing of the sort comes up. I'm reall getting frustrated.
If anyone has any knowledge please share it with me, I'm desperate for answers.

Thanks in advance

Often, people won't recall their dreams if the slumber is deep. You're dreaming, you just don't remember it after waking up, and if you're dreaming while away it's possible because it's because you're not sleeping as deeply. At night, while falling asleep, meditate. That will help you recall your dreams when you wake, and the more you do it the better you'll get at remembering them and might even start having lucid dreams.

Minuit is correct, every night, everyone has about 5 dreams. there has been plenty of tests and studies of the effects of dreams on a person, one study they cut out all non-REM sleep. the subjects were given the same 6-8 hours of sleep a night, but were woken up before they went into non-REM where we have our most intense dreams. after two weeks the subjects were grumpy, tired, agitated, unable to concentrate, and sickly. while i don't hold the study as 100% conclusive, it does make you think.

you could try getting a dream pillow or placing a few drops of peppermint on your pillow before bed. certain smells, and even food eaten before bed, can effect our dreams. another thing that helps is a dream dictionary. when you wake up, the second you do, write down anything you remember from last night. this exorcize can help increase your ability to remember dreams, and if kept up can help you remember all the dreams in the night. i had this teacher who had kept a dream dictionary since she was a kid, now she can awaken after every dream and remember it perfectly. a lot of her paintings in fact are inspired by her dreams.

From personal experience, dream journals really do help. I've had one for the past two years, and I am now able to recall dreams more often and in greater detail than I could before. Also, I've found that a lot of the time I don't dream when I sleep somewhere other than my house, mostly because I don't sleep as well. Sleep cycles affect how you dream, how much and how often. I doubt that there is a dream "block" of any kind, perhaps you just aren't comfortable sleeping in certain places and therefore don't sleep as well. But herbal remedies are definetely something to look into, as said above.
