Question on reputation.
By: / Beginner

I've already looked up the FAQs and it says that you are ranked by any contribution such as spells, forum posts, or how you behave in a chat room. I've been on here since around December, so I haven't been here too long.

I wanted to know how people can rank you on here? I've looked at different profiles to see that maybe there is one a profile, but I can't find one.

I only ask because I would like to gain a reputation. I will admit, I do not do spells yet. I personally feel that I need a lot of knowledge to do so, but I would consider myself a beginner or novice only because I am practicing meditation, crystals, and pendelums. I'm still a little 50/50 on my tarot cards, but hey... Practice makes perfect.

From my understanding, you can only be ranked by someone knowledgable or higher in ranking. To determine your rank, many things are taken into consideration: contribution to the site, content in forums/chatter, etc.

give it time. the ranking system is not unfair to those who have properly earned it. i dont believe its a matter of skill. its a matter of sharing, posting what you know, and catching the attention of the right person. time dont mean much. i have another account who from sign up went from no label to novice in 2 days time. be active in fourm, be sensible.

So that's why I lost my rank. I'll of my arguments lately. I wasn't the only one and the one that I had fought with got ranked up two ranks and they've only been on for two months or so. They were as rude as I was and got promoted. I lost my rank. I post quite often. I try being reasonable, open minded, knowledgable, respectful, and show my wisdom. So how does that work?

In my opinion, the forums can be corrupt and bias. But thats my opinion, take it or leave it.

Instead of complaining about the forums or ranks, you could try posting informative articles and promoting conversations in the chatter.

Thank you for ya'lls input. And I'm sorry for those who feel that it is corrupt... But, I genuinely do feel I need to give it time too.

Sorry Pers. if I made you feel like all I do is complain. The posts I was serious about either didn't get posted on or deleted. I'll try to stop complaining. I mean "...wisdom isn't knowledge..." so I guess I'll try to change and conform. Sorry.
