I don't know if there is already a thread asking this and frankly I don't really want to go look, so anyways here is my question:
I am assuming that everybody has heard that the when there is a full moon it is easier to perform magick, or your magick is more powerful, etc.
What I want to know is why? Why is magick more powerful or easier to use when there is a full moon, I just do not understand, all that is happening is light from the sun that is being reflected off of the surface of the moon and if that affects magick then wouldn't it really be the sun that is affecting it?
Confusing I know, but generally what I am asking is why does the moon affect magick?
Well to put it simply..
When the moon is full, it effects the pull of gravity on the earth. This is what causes "high tides". When this happens it changes the energy in our body and the things around us. Many feel hyper,"crazy" or emotional at this time. What I believe is the attracting pull of the moon helps to project the energy of our workings. I hope this helped to clarify it for you :)
Yes. A full moon is roughly 300 celcius difference from an "empty" one. Maybe the heat helps? And I think the pull lowers the stress on our bodies from earths gravity..
Take note of the above posts, wonderland. It is not the light from the moon that has an effect, it is the gravitational "pull". We are around 90% water, and the moon has an effect on us as it does on any body of water; the sea, and to a lesser extent, lakes and such.
As the moon waxes and wanes the gravitational pull gets greater and lesser. When the moon is full there is no longer the Earth between it and the Sun, and the pull is at it's strongest.
keep something in mind though, during the waxing moon it's best casting spells to bring something to you, and the waning is for curses and sending thins away. on the full moon all spells are at the strongest, so either end waxing spells, or start waning spells. but not everyone follows the moon phases.
