I've been seeing this lately once again and hope I can help reduce this problem.

A lot of people will find this site and once they sign up they believe they know all or at least a lot more than others. I know I went in that phase and looked like a fool.

Sometimes you don't have to post something very smart or wise every single day. You also don't have to act smart because a lot of people or at least some I hope can tell when it is an act. Remember, we are here to chat with people like us, not to learn. Learning is an optional thing, but this site was created to get us together and hang out.

Just a friendly reminder that we all don't have to push ourselves to be on top.

50/50. yes, it's a great place to chat and to meet people, but the main reason i joined back 7 years ago was to learn, and now that i know more, i'd like to repay the help i got by helping others. so i think it's more half and half, but i get your point.

I too get your point, but I see this as a website to get together to learn. From what I have seen, people expand and grow faster when competing with and against others, it gives them something to strive for. Still a very valid point, people shouldn't feel the need to show off, because when you show off too much it tends to have the opposite effect.
