Personal Spellbooks

This is just a thought, but I think that it would allow people to adapt Spells of Magic more to their liking and make it a more personal experience on their journey. I'm not positive if this is the write forum, but it does have to do with adding a feature to the site.

What about adding an option to where you not only could use your coven's spellbook, but to where you could also have an online SoM personal spellbook. This would be great because you could put the spells that you tried and they worked in it, and keep fluffiness out of your practice. This would be especially useful for members of Spellcasters and any other coven, if there are any, that has large numbers of fluffy spells. If you got the Personal Spellbook, you could also hone down to only the spells that you would do, as opposed to a Coven-specific spellbook.

Now, I am not talking about removing Coven Spellbooks and replacing them with personal ones. I am simply saying maybe add it on as an accessory, maybe when you go to the profile tab have it in between profile and photos.

Is anyone in favor of this idea? Also, can anyone think of any flaws in it that I might have overlooked?

When you contribute spells, it is in your history. And you can use the favorites to be like a spell book as well.

Well I don't just mean spells that you contribute. I am speaking of looking through the site's spell directory at different spells made by different persons, and if you liked them, being able to "favorite" them, or have your own personal spellbook for it.

Okay, as Fenny said you can already favortie them. And ... why not just write down the spells you like? Makes things a lot easier, especially so you don't have to hop online everytime you need a spell.. just sayin.

Okay, thanks for that, BUT if there was a personal spellbook option, it would keep your forum favorites and just pure spells seperate, making it a lot less "cluttered" so-to-speak.

I am not one to get frustrated, but I origiannly suggested this, and you are practically paraphrasing my words as if you copied then pasted them, possibly moving a few sentences around. That's personally not cool.

However, I do like the idea of the feature enough to not let it bother me that much, So yes I agree and want the feature to be added when and if it's ever possible. And I have to personally think Pet and the rest of SoM admin for adding the knowledge feature,.

True, but writing out the spell can take a while, depending on the complexity and number of things involved. So, I figure, would it be about 50/50 pro/con?

Ah another thought just came to mind.
Hard work for any new idea or suggestion to be implemented either way.
Instead of having a master list of spells anyone can contribute to, there should be a master spellbook where new spells and what not would be reviewed by moderators or a new position of Fluff Inquisitors that would accept or deny such contributions. In addition to that so that it satisfies everyone's need on the profile section with the photos and history tabs etc. There could be a new tab for a member's own spellbook with their owns spells they can add and contribute to, also having the option to mark their individual spellbook either public or private.

In favorties your Spell favorites and Forum favorites are seperate.. And I personally thing that before such a feature were to be added a lot of the fluff spells should be removed (Or try to be) from the site.
