Haunted?

Hello people,

my name is Erik and I need somebody who can tell me about a certain evil entity who follows me at night. It looks similar to what is called a Dementor in the Harry Potter movies. Last night I saw it in a mirror when I unexpectedly woke up after nightmares: It was popping out of the ceiling, right over the pillow where I was laying with my head. It had a scythe on its arms and was moving its "head" down towards my head. It hit me in the head with its scythe, before it immedeately took flight , disappearing. I got goosebumps and my head was beginning to tingle. My hair felt electric and i panicked, screaming but unable to wake up.
This experience really scares me and I am quite worried what is going to happen now. What does that "attack" mean? How evil is that spirit in the worst case? Is something bad going to happen to me now?
I hope some experienced people here can tell me what to do about it now. Please contact me.

Best greets,
Erik

It appeared ghost-like and very tall and wide. It did not wear a hood (unlike in science fiction films). It seemed humanoid but had no hands and no face. The whole body and the scythe were completely black. The body was not a full shape, it consisted of a bunch of triangles. I did not notice any sond, stinky smell or cold temparature when it was near by. The entities ambush was quick and quiet. Almost impossible to detect if I were not unexpectedly woken up.
The situation took place right after I woke up on a nightmare. The entity did not have a fearsome aura, but I am concerned about his hit on my head though. Like it means some kind of kharma.

So did this happen while you were asleep or not? The wording is very confusing here. I can't tell if this was the dream you were woken up from, or if you were dreaming and then woke up to this happening in real life.
If it was a dream, I would suggest a simple cleansing. A lot of people will burn sage if they do this, but you don't necessarily have to. The spell itself is to rid the space of negative energy, which is what darker spirits and demons tend to feed on. I have sleep paralysis every now and then and I see and feel dark presences around me in these occurrences. I always do a cleansing spell afterward. I makes the space feel cleaner, brighter, more peaceful, and it helps me to sleep better.
If this happened in real life, while I am suspicious that it may have just been remnants of exhaustion, I would also suggest a cleansing spell, but I would recommend having other people there with you for it. Sometimes these dark presences will go from feeding on the negative energy in a space to feeding on you and making you feel negatively. This is a very draining and demotivating experience and can be difficult to face alone. If someone is there to support you and be with you through it, it can help give you the strength to put yourself in charge of your life and your surroundings again.
Best of luck to you. I really hope this helps

Sorry for my confusing language. My english is quite broken. I woke from a nightmare and the encounter happened in real life. But i was laying in bed, paralyzed and unable to talk clearly. Thank you for your suggestion. I am going to ask somebody who can make a cleansing for me. I am convinced it can help

For the record, I already pitched the idea of sleep paralysis and sensory hallucination to this user, and he shot me down.
