Cleansing Herbs
By: / Beginner
Hi all,

I'm doing a sex ritual with my partner, and I'm planning to do a ritual cleansing beforehand - likely just holding a few sprigs of a herb with a washcloth in the shower due to limited resources.

I don't have much knowledge in herbalism, but I'm doing research for this cleansing. I was considering using lavender, since I'd read that may work and it feels right to me. But I don't want to take any chances because my own knowledge is limited.

Any advice or ideas? Would lavender work?

Thank you to any and all replies made. I really appreciate it!

Blessed Be,

Lavender is an excellent choice! Your instincts are correct to use it. Rosemary is another very good cleansing herb used in baths. You can also use essential oils as well or a mix of both.

I would use lemon or citrus-scented herbs, especially lemongrass, lemon verbena, citronella and palmarosa.

If you are the sort who likes a bit of exfoliant in their bathing, you could also put a pinch or two of salt into the washcloth. Salt is a great all-around grounder, and might add some scrubby goodness. ^_^
