I didn't learn magic from books.I had a teacher. I was shown magic! I have never yet read a book that teaches magic; they just describe "spells" and "rituals". Neither of which are magic.

I read Soraya Book of Spells. It was a brilliant book and gave me a good insight to magick and Wicca.
