Jackalope

I space out a lot and when i do i tend to take walks around my mind which are normally calming experiences that revitalize me, but this one however made me question everything in it. It was winter and i was waling through the woods snow covering everything making it very hare to see the path and i'm sure i would have gotten lost if not for the overgrown weeds and such being visible. As I continued walking I saw a jackalope in the middle of the road staring at me. At this point i felt compelled to walk over to it and when i got close enough it bounded toward me acting as if it were my pet rubbing against my leg and trying to get me to pick it up. I was overwhelmed with a feeling of compassion and caring for this jackalope and so i picked it up pet it and held it happily setting it down and continuing on down the path to a cottage with my friend Mr.jackalope not far behind. I entered the cottage, which was as much of a run down mess on the inside as it was on the outside, through the window and went to the bedroom which had a bed with a skeleton holding a picture of a cute girl in its hand. The room gave me a feeling of abandonment so i left the jackalope snatching the picture and giving it to me as i left. Continuing down the path i came to a black and smooth mile high and infinitly long wall putting my hand to it before I realized i was laying where the skeleton was with the picture in hand and the jackalope leaving the room. So yeah that day dream or whatever has been on my mind for a while now. Any help is welcome.

I would interpret this as the jackalope is your instincts. The house represents your circumstances, and what is inside represents the effects that your circumstances have on you. The jackalope encourages you to continue to believe in love (or at least, in other people not being just bad or neutral but really good people), even though that might seem impossible now.

The wall can represent your defenses, emotional or mental defences against anything else that you fear or even would pain you. However, a defense is not a process any more than the shell of a cocoon is an insect. Grief is a process that your instincts are attracted to, compelled to to survive, which is why your mind returns you to the skeleton's place (the dead person's place). Grief can be awful, but it's better than not grieving.

thanks and a jackalope is a flesh eating rabbit with antlers that can mimic sounds. Its a fantasy creature that i believe to be in native american folklore but i could be wrong on that one.

Jackalopes are awesome, fictional animals found in America, that are rabbits with deer antlers. In reality it's theorized people saw rabbits afflicted with slopes papilloma virus which causes horn shaped tumors to grow on certain rabbit breeds heads. I've been in a few tacky shops in the states with "authentic Jackalope" taxidermy. They look cool, but it's not real.

Regarding this dream, the creature seems calm, affectionate, and wanted to be with you. Look at it as a positive vision. To interpret, look at rabbits and antlers. The colour of the Jackalope can effect the meaning, but it could be a couple things, a rabbit can represent sexuality [due to there rapid reproduction] as well as the antlers [a symbol of male sexuality and strength] or it could be luck [rabbit] in love [antlers] it's waiting for you then follows you to the cottage [a symbol of retreat and safety] I feel this whole dream is saying you're at a moment in your life where you are lost or scared and might be choosing to run away to the safety of childhood or imagination instead of facing adult realities. And since a few things indicate sexuality I'm going to say there's someone you fancy or a rather masculine activity you wish to do [example football] but fear rejection so you are avoiding the whole situation. At least that's what I'm getting... Or it could be a really cool dream with freaky imagery, both are plausible.
