Help With The Goetia

Hey all, not sure how popular Goetic practices are on the site now, but i was hoping someone could help me out with at least the basics of it again. I learned it all, the altar, what books to read, etc. before, but it was a long time ago and i lost all my references (see my profile for better explaination). Anyways. If someone could just link or mail me some good books and or references thatd be great. I'm also looking for an experienced mentor on the subject if someone would be so nice. Please send me mail or respond to the thread. Thanks everyone.

I believe the Mathers/Crowley edition of the Goetia is available online in the form of a pdf. Two other books which are considered some of the best out there are Poke Runyon's "Solomons Magic" and "The Goetia of Dr Rudd" by Stratton-Kent.

I believe Poke Runyon has a video of the goetic magic and it is on youtube, but my memory could be failing me there.

Yeah one of the books i recalled is Thomas Karlsson - Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic, also a few books by mathers i believe. But as i skim through them it doesnt have the basic info i would like to know about such as the altar i should build to give gifts to the demons etc. which is why im looking for a mentor also. Just someone to help me out 1 on 1 to help me remember some things and teach me better.
Thanks for the info im going to look into those books and the video. Dont think i ever read/watched them.

There are differentiations between altar setups I believe. It is a matter of personal preference on that account, any magician would improvise a ritual to suit their needs and capabilities- doing what feels correct, not what they have read.

I am a lover of tradition, but I think self confidence and individual flair is essential.

I beleieve this also and was planning on making it more personal as time goes on. But i remember theres just a general set up for it. I dont remember all the materials needed. I could sort of wing it off memory but i would rather get it correct than not knowing for sure. If you know any of this just mail me real quick and ill ask a couple questions about what should be placed on the altar and where kind of thing. Just to see if im right at least.
