Casting spells and God?

Can I cast spells and believe in god? I love God with everything in me, and my family is extremely christian and really committed. My question is, can I still practice magick and cast spells, but follow the Lord jesus? I don't believe in any wiccan dieties or gods/goddesses or anything, only one god, the Holy Trinity. The thing is, I still love casting spells and I really want to, but Im afraid that they're contradicting and I wont be able to go to heaven or be with God. Please help!

Well I would say I have the same problem but this should not make you loose faith in christianity nor should it make you loose faith in magick,it is you who can make a difference. You know, magick isn't a sin,its pure from the earth itself and it is always there surrounding us by which casting spells helps you to direct the energy present to make a difference nothing else.
It isn't true that when you cast spells you do wrong, NO!you are just using the energy for good and always remember this 'magic was,is and never shall be a toy'it should be used for good but people don't see it that way, they think that the power bestowed in them is for personal gain but that is not true.If you really are a christian you should never use magick wrongly.

Let us look at a Christian spell. (Yes, there are a few!)
A spell is a "ritual wish"; we perform a ritual in order to "change" something,or help someone, or just to change our luck.
A devout Catholic lady may go into church, buy a small candle, light the candle from one of the other candles in the rack, place the candle amongst the others, then kneel and say a prayer. Perhaps to God, perhaps to a saint.
Believe it or not, the lady has cast a spell. She is just not aware of it.
You wish to be a Christian, and cast spells? Why not! A priest does it every morning at Mass.

Yes. I am a Christian witch. And the appropiate spells you can cast are the ones that don't involve the help of or invoke demons or any other deities when you're Christian.

You can believe in God, but remember: The bible says a lot of times that magick are something that deserve torture and death. Center yourself in your SPIRITUALITY, that will make you grow free. Religion will only bound your mind against to everything that is different from the dogmas.

Well, the three magis ( the three wise men) were in fact magicians, many people believe that the three wise men were in fact magicians and had the wisdom of magick, also there's a lot of jewish/christian magick that has been created in ancient times. They even have seals and magick symbols for the archangels michael, gabriel, samael, uriel, raphael, and raquel. The kabala is a jewish magick book, it's a book of jewish mysticism. And there's a book, I forgot what it's called, but it has magick prayers which are christian spells as well. I too believe in God, jesus and the holy spirit, but I also believe in other gods as well and other spirits and I believe that in magick you can choose to work with only jesus, angels, and God or you can choose to believe in other gods as well. In magick sometimes you don't even use other spirits and gods, sometimes you just work with the energy of the earth or God, angels, and jesus as well. Also the catholic church is not always against magick, I knew a couple of churches where they excepted magick and the people in the church used magick. And some people believe the catholic church actually use magick charms and charm things such as a crucifix, holy water and holy dirt from the holy city. Although the charming magick they do may just be a rumor. But anyways magick has been used with God, jesus and holy spirit and there's even and magick symbol for jesus, it looks kind of like a cross and the fish symbol has sometimes been considered and magick symbol do to its symbolism. Anyways hope that helps. blessed be!

The one overlooked barrier is the commandment "you shall have no other gods before me." I think that most spells are perfectly acceptable as long as you don't think of anything else before your God. That's what I do. If the spell calls for something less than god, i fill in for, lets say, the sea god, a saint of maybe even John the Baptist. It also says in the bible a quote about "witches", but this does from when King James had the bible translated to English. The term witch used by kings of the period meant devil worshippers a who were evil and planned to use magick to overthrow the governments and law. As long as you don't fit this description, you should be perfectly acceptable as a Christian Practitioner of the Holy arts.

What's another word for "works"? Yehoshua performed all sorts of "miracles" and "works" in YHWH's name. If he healed and raised the dead would that no doubt be a spell that was casted and a form of magic? Sounds like "magic" to me.
