Looking after yourself
By: / Beginner
I have been researching and crafting on my own for several years and need help with replenishing energy, recognising good and evil presences that manifests during spellwork and dealing with them. Also proper grounding and protection. I sometimes feel terribly worn out and drained after spellwork. I also have been enveloped by a dark presence at the point of disbanding my circle. These occurences is difficult to understand and deal with with no support.

Grounding. Centering. I think you're missing out on these things. Please go back to the basics before casting any more spells

Part of the basics is energy working. It develops you to the point where you don't have to feel physical side effects like draining after spell work. You can also tap into nature's energy or use the help of a spirit to aid in your casting. You're never truly alone, to be honest.

i agree with eis because there are spirits all around us that can help you just need to ask, and i agree with magi because grounding and centering are the most inportant things to succsessfull spellcasting.

I don't always know if the presences are benevolent. This particular one felt extremely dark and threatening. I don't know if it was just an opportunistic spirit joining my spell casting or a darker presence deliberately interfering. I can feel them, but not see or communicate.

Thank you Eskora, I found something on this site about replenishing energy. I feel terribly drained and "flat". No joy, no sense of enjoyment...
