Failed Dedication

Awhile back, I attempted my dedication to Enki. I really messed up.

I drew Enkis sigil wrong (the ankh was upside-down). I apologized alot and get embarrassed whenever it comes up.

Most say the ritual should only be performed once. Can there be an exception here? Am I still considered dedicated? I really want to correct it quickly.

It's up to you really if you feel that you should do it again then do the dedication again. Deities mostly care about the intent of the person dedication themselves not the movements and symbols. The movements and symbols are mostly for you to focus on what you are doing to direct your energy more correctly. So do what you feel like you have to do.

Everyone makes mistakes, and the deities know and understand that. You apologized and you weren't trying to do anything wrong or bad.
Its up to you if you wanna do it again or not. Think about the whole ritual you did and decide if it was good enough for you, even with the sigil mistake. Take some time to think about it.

I hope you have learned the lesson here. If you are serious about this path, then something as important as a dedication should be researched and practiced before the actual event, to eliminate these sorts of mistakes. This is not the time to ad lib

If you do the proper clarifacations and cleansing rituals then you should be able to attemp the ritual again. I don't know enough about the ritual to tell if it can only be attempted once but generaly you can do it as many times as you need to get it right. Then you are dedicated. You don't have to perform a ritual to dedicate yourself spiritually to something though.
