This is a simple love spell that I wrote myself. Feel free to change the wording to whatever goddess you want; I use Venus for this spell. Write a totally different wording if you want; whatever works is fine but I use this.
What you will need:
1 red candle
Something to carve the wax with
Essential oils (optional)
Carve the name of the person who you want to love you into the candle. If you want, you can dress the candle with essential oils next. As you light the candle, say:
Mother Venus hear my plea
Bring my lover, (name) close to me
He/she will love me times three
So mote it be, so mote it be
Let the candle burn out; that will mean the spell has been done.
As long as you believe the spell will work, any words will do. I prefer making my own words because they are more personalized and let the effects be more tuned to what I want.

btw. i also wrote a love spell. it was supposed to be cast at the next full moon. on the 31st this friday... but i will keep it hidden until there is a reason to try it, it involves venus also
when i annoint a candle i take it in the hand i write with and starting from the middle of the candle i work upwards towards the wick, i concentrate on my intent as i do this. Then starting from the middle i then annoint the candle all the way down the the bottom. i never annoint in one full swoop, and i keep focusing on my intent as i do this. i learned this technique from a very powerful candle spellbook i was lucky to own, after this you could roll the "dressed candle" in some herbs or spices connected to love, such as cinnamon, it would then stick to the candle and add power.
That's a good way to do it. I have not worked with essential oils much, but they are useful in setting the "mood" of the spell. (sorry didn't know the right word so I used mood)
