I think this is one of those questions, that is going to vary from person to person.

BTW: i dont think the "3 fold law" really applies.

The most important question, to me, is does it apply to you? If it does, if it carries weight in your heart, then it applies.

There's some discussion of this on the thread "What Newbs Need to Know," started by Luzifer in case you want a sampling of opinions.

if your not wiccan, then no it does not.

unless you feel the need to believe in it.

but, a belief in magick does not mean you must belief in the three fold law, karma, or any other form of spiritual punishment.

Well I'm going with the assumption that Helie's intentions are posititve, so if you're a white witch then yes it does obeying good laws such as the 3 fold does apply. For dark sorcerers it doesn't really apply for THEM, however.

no specific law, but there is the basic law of the universe that what you push out you are gonna get back at some point (unless you are able to keep pushing out till the backlash of energy is nulified) it varies from person to person, guess it depends on how much you are willing to risk and gain?

Laws are for balance only, they're not meant to limit you..
That's what a friend taught me anyway (the Forgotten dude from this site, he's left now).
