There is a wonderful book on the runes that I'd highly recommend if you want to learn how to read them. It's called " Taking Up the Runes " by Diana Paxson. Some other books I'd suggest include " The Nine Doors of Midgard " and " Runecaster's Handbook " both by Edred Thorsson.
