no more packing dreams

It's a recurring dream of mine. Not sure what it means, baggage in my life or chaos in it, but I'd like a spell not to pack every night in my dreams?

It may be better to decipher the dreams rather than wish them away.
From what's written in this dream encyclopaedia I have, packed bags are associated with death and endings. Most likely the end of a phase of life.
If you don't mind me asking, do you know the reason you were packing in this dream?

Usually I am in a hurry for a flight or boat. I don't know why, but there is so much stuff I can't possibly make it all up..

Often the actions in a dream are not directly related to what they are trying to express.

For example, I may start having dreams about the brakes or steering -- often both as the dream becomes more stressful -- of my car not working, and in the dream I begin sliding all over the place, and either being in collisions or nearly in many wrecks. The dreams are an expression of my subconscious that I am feeling a loss of control over my life's circumstances.

In your dream, you are packing to catch a flight or boat, which you are worried you might miss.

I think you may be worried about missing an opportunity for change or advancement in life, and you feel subconsciously that your time will come suddenly with little time to prepare. Or it may be a deep worry that you are feeling woefully unprepared for something in your life, or just with your current life circumstances, such as things are currently changing very quickly and it can be difficult to cope or keep up. Of course, it could be any number of things. That is just what comes to mind.

I do not like dream dictionaries. They may have some good ideas, but often their answers are far too narrow. A symbol -- your subconscious mind works almost entirely in symbols, which is why reading can be very difficult in dreams -- can have a broad range of possible meanings. Dream dictionaries will often give a single meaning for an object or action within a dream.

Your answer lies inward, and not in a book. Seek your own worries and concerns, and see what is going on in your life, both presently and things you are expecting in the future. Therein will most likely be your answer.
