Energy Manipulation

When you use energy manipulation, do you use orbs and beam like structures or do you let out the energy like a mist?

Personally I use the mist when sending energy out because I'm usually in close range to the target, like in my garden I put out green energy and my crops grew surprisingly fast.
When I absorb energy its like I have a "portal" of such contracting it.
What is it like for all of you?

Personally, I use all of them. When I'm Channing my energy into an object, I use strings. When I'm releasing it around me, it's like a mist. I sometimes use orbs when I'm pushing energy away from me that I can aim at.
