Unknown Pendant

So, a while ago, I was cleaning my room out, as we were moving, and I came across a strange pendant. I asked my family if it belonged to any of them, none recognised it. It's quite strange, I've never seen one like this before.
It's carved on a soft grey stone, easily scratched.
It has four triangles, two next to each other at the top, then one at the bottom, that is behind the other two, the last is a small triangle in the middle.
Kinda like this-

Anyone have any ideas? The shape I've provided is rough, so I can post pictures of the pendant. It looks to be old.
I've asked quite a few people about what it may be or it origin, but no one I've talked with so far has any idea what it is.

It's not four triangles. It's three triangles. The symbol is the Valknutr - or the Valknot. Pften referred to as the Death-knot. That specific Valknut is unicursal. It is also seen drawn tricursal. The symbol is related to the triquetra. The Valknut is a symbol of Odin and was worn in one way or another by those who were dedicated to the god of death, war, magic, and wisdom. It's said that those who wore the Valknut died in some rather interesting ways. Though that may be up for debate among other matters.
Aside from being a symbol of Odin, the Valknut has been adapted into being a symbol for the Nornir - the Norse sisters of fate; one triangle to each of the three.

But, that raises other questions, why was it in the room of my old house? Did the previous owner leave it on purpose? It's an intriguing puzzle of questions it seems! :)

Perhaps they were Heathens? But it strikes me as odd that a symbol pendant such as this would be left behind. Have you had any "odd" occurrences, like misfortunes of any kind? Do you know what happened to the previous flat owners? This is a rather interesting post I have been following.

There are many stories of my childhood home, it is centuries old, quite a fewmisfortunes have happened there, a man killed himself and his dog, a young girl drowned and there was a demonic presence that resided there, I have no idea who could have left it there.
