While magic is certainly real, and while Sue is absolutely correct in saying that it's vital to start with the basics and to understanding how and why magic works, it is also vital to understand that there are also things that magic cannot and will not do. Such things as kinesis in all it's claimed forms is out of fantasy. Spells for pyrokinesis, aerokinesis, etc aren't real. They all come out of "Avatar, The Last Airbender". You can try them as much as you like, but they won't do what you think and in the end will only make you doubt that magic is real. You'll end up disappointed.

If you're serious about learning spell work then I would suggest some good books to start out with that will help you understand the hows and whys of magical workings. You might want to read these:

"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman

"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar

"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson

"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig
