You were probably having feelings of fear and worrying. The spell most likely backfired on you, also "if it isn't broke don't fix it". Sorry, but you need to keep a relationship strong the old fashioned way.
although this guy might be your soulmate(which I highly recommend getting checked out by more than one actual psychic/medium/spiritual reader) it is possible that in this life he might be too broken in his head to actually have a complete and never dying love for you this lifetime that doesn't mean that he doesn't love you it just means that his current form I too broken or just misguided in its ways to actually respond to your love magic should never be used to induce love that doesn't exist but it could be used to attract love that should exist
