Traditional Satanism.

Is not about evil, nor does it have a nazi agenda. I find it disrespectfull that people post sources from us and disregard where it came from. I find it even more so, that there are those who dabble and tell people to nit pick from joyofsatan.org and even go as far as saying destroy demons and use there energy. That is not possible and therefore you shall not be aknowledged by the gods.

Some of you are satisfied with your lives and should continue in your own respects. Those that are in need of a purpose and have found the warmth in there own suffering shall find true bliss with our teachings.

''Receive that, that is dictated, and do not carry it before those who are withought, jews, christians, muslims, and others; for they know not the nature of my teachings. Do not give them your books, lest thy alter them withought knowledge. Learn by heart the greater part of them,''
Chapter V
The Al - Jilwah
Black Book of Satan

To make this fog around Satan clear, the name and word did not derive from the hebrew language, it does not mean advasary. All these teachings come from the far east. In india and tibet. There is a town called Satana where they practice sacred mantra's such as Satanama.
''SA'' meaning Infinity ''TA'' meaning Life ''NA'' meaning death, and ''MA'' meaning rebirth. Satan is God that is the meaning of infinite life in which death and rebirth is no longer needed. I suggest if you are not with us to post sources else where than from angelfire. Namaste

I've grown up to believe that Satan and Satanist alike are all evil and that they do the freakiest and sadist things ever.

Having grown up hearing all these terrible things and being told that if I step one foot out of line or even if I wasn't christened (like I wasn't) that I'll go to hell obviously make's me feel a bit edgy about the whole business.

I've been trying to grow as a person. I felt that as someone who had no faith in anything, I wanted to study up on several religions. Right now I'd class myself as a solitary wiccan.

I was looking up stuff on satanism. Basically what I had learned was that your not really evil. Your religion is looked upon as the selfish religion though as you think of yourselves before others and only help someone if they ask for it ect....

I hope you haven't been offended by anything I have said as it was not my intention to do so but to learn about it. Feel free to correct me on anything also.

What are the basics of satanism?

Traditional/Spiritual Satanism differs from the latter and more exposed ones like anton levays satanism and other athiestic religions. They are nothing alike we as Thiestic Satanist, we are not selfish nor disgusting sadist.

We want to bring balance to this unbalanced world and constantly influence in positive ways to help people. As the oldest polythiesm religion we do not proselytize or convert people just influence. This is shown in the many forms of how people practice satanism while still keeping there beliefs in monothiesm or other religions. Hence witch crafting christians.

In a sense it is the pure definition of religion in that it is something we can agree upon, except for the name of course. The teaching began in the far east as stated above of its origins. There are no basics we all advance as individuals and enlightenment through different ways and perspectives. All in all we seek to evolve into godhead through the magnum opus. The tree of life is also part of satanism dealing with the seven main chakras. This is what the seven seals is mentioned in the bible trying to seal them away.

Well, the name Satanism isnt helping. I do think it's sad that people aren't willing to educate themselves, but the name is off putting. As far as being selfish, that's just human nature, everyone else is, and those who aren't end up used and taken advantage of. Satanists understand this and protect themselves from it. I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't identify as a satanist, but I have done some reading on it and that's the main thing I took away from it. I'm a much happier person since I learned the balance between jerk and doormat.

I converted my Muslim friend who is really into SS right now, he gave up Islam. Would that be considered bad?

Depends on what role you played in his conversion. If it was his own curiosity and you just provided information, I don't even see how that could possibly be viewed as bad.

... Totally not going to make him popular with his family, though.

Anomaly, what sources would you recommend for the curious to educate themselves about your form of Satanism? I like to understand at least the basics of every religion. I have read LaVey's Bible and I have also read a few Enki follower websites, but I have not come across what you're speaking of. I really like the SA TA NA MA meaning. I meet many people both in real life and online that are "soul searching" and become attracted to Satanism, and it would really come in handy to have a few sources to help guide them to what seems one of the best forms of Satanism I've ever heard of.

I can agree with you about the Joy of Satan website completely.

It depends on what sources you want about what.

Here is something to tease your minds of the powers of the far east. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3F3ovb2kZ9Q

You should be more curious about yourself and what your mind is capable of.

I just came out to my friends about it saying "I am who I am, etc." And Mark (the guy ) just asked questions and I answered. I told him about the JOS cite and to try calling on Ea (Ea is Satan who is Enki) to see what I meant when I described his presence. My friend Max is interested is well. But I stated plainly "If you're not fully dedicated or just 'dabbling' don't do it"

I appreciate the link Anomaly, but that isn't really what I was looking for. I'm looking for words in a book, ebook, or an article on a website that explains the details of your version of spiritual satanism. I'm not really a "youtuber" and they aren't exactly what I would call a genuine reference, as anyone can upload a video to youtube. I'll still check it out, because I like observing other people's opinions whether I agree or not, but I was hoping for a more solid source.
