Just Curious Here

I am NOT knocking anyones belief here this just a question. I am just curious about this. Almost everyone on here believes in thoughtforms right? These are beings that are comprised of will power and mental energy to carry out our will. These would take massive amounts of mental energy. Needless to say a novice witch couldn't do it. My question is this. If thoughtforms and tulpas are possible why can't spells like fireballs and invisiblity work?

Those spells are completely possible in my opinion, However, we have yet to find a way to create fireballs and invisibility. We just don't know what is required in the ritual to come up with a fireball or invisibility.

This is just my opinion, many people have differing beleifs and opinions, but it is not impossible, however improbable it is. There have been many recordings in history regarding fireballs and invisibility in fact.

There were a couple of noted witches during the witch hunts, there are legends that the sorcerers in the ancient Egyptian pharaoh's court could use spells of that caliber, and then there are little witch myths here and there... but myths always spring off from some kind of fact, however obscure it may be.

So who knows, maybe out there these spells exist in some private craft group, or have been buried for centuries, or have yet to be created and it is up to you to make it. It is all one's will to create.

For example : It is possible to create Energy balls with heat attributes. One step in the right direction, now let's all figure out the formula to making a fire ball :D

Personally, I don't think fireball creation would be possible. What would one use it for? Usually to cause harm. Set something on fire or throw it at someone. "An ye harm none, do what ye will". The God and Goddess wouldn't want everyone weilding fireballs of destruction. Thoughtforms are much less dangerous.

That would be a destructive outlet to use it. There is always a destructive and productive use to everything. A fireball is simply a fireball and can be used for a number of outlets. Keeping you warm in the cold, lighting fires to cook food and heat.

What if you were stuck in the mountains with no heat source? You could freeze to death but the fire ball could offer a form of heat to keep you warm. Or you are out in the woods and need to light a fire to cook your fish or meat...

The outlets are not always destructive, it is all based upon the user.

A thought form is different from a fireball in many ways. For one, to create a fireball you would be defying natural law and physics. Matter cannot be created nor destroyed. I personally do not believe we humans to be capable of wielding elements as such. While perhaps we may influence or take energy from an element, I can not imagine that we will ever be able to alter it as much as some would like.

well, im assuming that most of us here believe in telekinesis, and telepathy yes? good.

now, lets do a basic physics lesson...what is heat? heat comes from the movement of atoms in an object or mixture, the faster they move, the hotter something is
now, what is telekinesis? it is the movement of an object, using the mind
what is an object made from? atoms
what is air made from? atoms
which is easier to move physically? air? or a small pebble? well, we already move lots of air with almost each movement our body makes, no matter how small it may seem
so then, what wouuld cost more energy? moving a pebble with your mind? or moving air with your mind? therefore, what if one took air, and influenced a small sphere of it to move fast enough to generate heat? not quite a "fire" ball, but if done right, could indeed ignite say...a stick that goes into the sphere

now, invisibility, how could this go hand in hand with telepathy? simply nudge the minds of people around you into thinking nothing is there, course, wont work, if there looking right at you, or your doing somthing to draw attention to yourself, but could work to fool somone who just glances at you

Considering I do not believe humans to be capable of manipulating such physical things with their mind, I disagree with your first paragraph. The human mind cannot move or alter an atom, a neutron, a proton, electron. It is beyond our ability.

However, I have heard of glamour spells which would render a person harder to see, attract less attention, and similar things.

Personified you said that people cannot create or destroy matter right? Wrong. Look at the nuclear bomb. Or even the atom bomb. Both can create and destroy. To create that explosion atoms are split thus creating energy or matter, and the bomb itself destroys all matter in that area. Now I realize we are back to square one with can a mind to the same thing. Create and destroy. It is just like vitki said just because one person can't doesn't mean another can't. Look at althletes. They are capable of amazing things that you and I are not. So based on that logic magic is the same. There are people who find it easy. They are a natural at it. I am one such person. And I realize you won't believe me about that but I am not looking for acknowledgement, I already know what I can do. I am saying just because no one has done it yet doesn't mean it is not possible. 200 years ago people said flying was impossible and now look at airplanes. What if there is no such thing as fantasy or sci-fi?
