What does it feel like?

Ive been reading up on AP for a while, but one thing seems to be inconsistent, and thats how it feels. Ive read how people say its like a dream. So if thats true can you feel anything? Like your senses. And also wouldnt that be just lucid dreaming? Then ive also read that you can feel everything at very sensitive levels. i realize the best way to know is to do it myself, but i want to research first. Any other info you can tell me would be great, and sorry for grammar errors, im on my phone. Ty :3

I am not a continual astral projector, but I have done it a few times before. I remember it felt alive one time, everything was felt even the scary stomach sensation when you look down in great heights.

I believe everyone has similar or slightly different experiences. Maybe more people will post their own.

Just about everybody, at some time or other, has "visited" the astral plane. Watch a baby at play. The baby will suddenly become very still, as though in a trance, for a minute or so. That's astral travelling. Astral travel usually comes in that "twilight" time between sleeping and waking. It is a feeling of falling. People have had this myth for many years, that if you "reach the bottom" you will die. So people will "shake themselves awake" for fear of reaching the bottom. Allow yourself to keep falling; it is your actual body separating from the astral. Once this has taken place, you should be able to turn and look at your own body, still on the bed. (And it's a weird feeling, believe me!) There is no need to be afraid. The two "bodies" remain attached; you can visualise this as a cord, silver, gold, whatever; sometimes just a "whispy" sort of cloud.

Brysing, I think you just helped me alot. I've felt like I was falling off a cliff once and I pulled out of my dream straight away because I was scared if I did reach the bottom, I would die.

I've tried it but never actually managed to succeed. I had no idea that the falling sensation when your sleeping (sort of) is when your about to astral project. I get that all the time! I always think that I'm about to fall off my bed or something so I Stop myself. I'll try not to next time!

I often had that falling feeling before, but I shake myself out of it not on purpose, just a reflex. Like,I'm walking somewhere and I trip and start falling.. .Than I shake out of it -.-

some tips for you
there are three main types of ap.
first : unconsiously, for example the dreams (not all dreams. lot of them are messages for the future)
second : consiously fully out of your body, its like your dreams but you have the full control and can go wherever you like in the astral realms
third: consiously halfly out of your body, you can ap and the same time be in your body awake that depends on the person and it takes years of experience.

the most importand you need is visualization so learn the basics, master them and go on ;)

I've felt that falling sensation too I was drifting off to sleep when I felt I was falling off stair and then I jerked up by reflex, but what's weird is that when I had an accidental lucid dream I had a falling sensation and when I hit bottom was when opened my eyes to wake up.
