Weed in Witchcraft

If we use herbs in spells can weed also be used in it? If weed is used as a medicine for depression, anxiety and ptsd, can it be used in spells that can break a stubborn situation, or if the caster casted spells that didn't work?

I have read different experiences and recommendations from practitioners on another board.

The short answer is, it varies.

Some people have a complete stop of their success when under the influence, while others have had wild success while using marijuana during practice.

While I cannot recommend someone experiment using a (federally, at least, in the US) illegal substance, I can say your own results may vary greatly from those of another person.

Exactly as the last comment, the results vary from person to person. So far I haven't really performed magic under the influence of marijuana, I only tried to meditate, which was fairly easier and helped me get into a trance state easier. I didn't astral or anything though, just relaxation.

I know of people that use different strands and variations (like indica or sativa as a general rule) of weed to achieve different things, but I haven't tried this.

I think what it boils down to is that marijuana and other drugs have a direct effect on an individual's mental capacity and thought processes. However the level and direction of those effects are individual as it depends greatly on a person's current physical and mental condition.

Use of compounds that affect the mind in a variety of ways have been used historically across many cultures. However to be used properly and in a way that produces genuine benefit depends on also being taught how to apply yourself to maintain grounded awareness and self-control while under the influence. This takes an effort of will and intense focus on personal awareness that only comes through training and/or practice, and knowledge of the specific ways that the drugs being used change your perceptions and thoughts.

hallucinogens and other compounds can, in certain circumstances, be potent tools. But only if one is active in making them into a tool through an expenditure of effort, and not just trying to use them as a shortcut.

Maybe there is to ad that weed is not so well defined. What most people think of is this dried green plant with a lot of thc which is illegal in most countries. Here in Switzerland right know everyone is talking about the so called CBD-Weed. It has waymore of CBD than normal weed but less than 1% of THC, which makes it legal in Switzerland, so it is even selled by the big supermarket chains here. It does not make you high (due to its lack of THC) but it relaxes you.
Can be helpfull for meditation, but I tend to fall asleep because I'm so relax so. Indeed, it is very personal.

Being a regular smoker I value it as a nerve relax agent. Helps when I meditate as well. Ive never used it in a actual spell; though, if I dedicate some to a deity among other favorites they appreciate the thought.

Tobacco is an accepted offering, so why not weed.

I use weed in my spell casting and so far all of those spells cast when I have weed in my system have worked 100%. I suppose it will be different for eveyone. It depends on what you believe.
