Blurry Faced People
By:
In Social Studies, we have been looking at A LOT of old pictures from different events, with different people. In almost every picture, there is one person close to the front of the picture, that has their head turned toward the camera, and only their face is blurred....Like a scary kind of blur...
Now, I say "almost," because Its been happening in every photo except for 1 or 2...and we look at a ton of photos...

Is this just a coincidence or could it be something else..something scarier???

When a photographer is taking photos of people the camera (no matter how old) will in general focus on those in the middle of the frame, that means that anyone in the front of the image will blur, as well as anyone moving as movement has more of an impact the closer they are to a camera.

Especially in older cameras any form of movement can effect the photo, especially longer exposure cameras. (I mention this because I am not sure exactly how old we are talking, victorian? 1920's 1960's, old is different for different people).

This will just be coincidence and nothing supernatural, it's just the way photos are.

H2O Has it right and best said. Thats Why back in the day they had to be still and not smile. Becaues smiling cetain lines and movement will alterthe photo. I have a very modern canon camera and have yet to get a blurred photo without making it happen.
