New Faith

I used to be a christian, but I lost my faith not long ago, now I could choose to be an atheist, but a part of me wants to have faith, to believe in something, I was wondering if there were spiritual paths here that could suite me. There are 3 rules I still abide by. 1. I do not harm others unless they would hurt me, 2. I uphold my respect to nature and its creatures. 3. I refuse to steal from others. Thank you for your time, even if you just view it, special thanks to anyone that replies.

P.s. if you have questions about how long I kept my faith, it was about 10 years, so I do commit.

I am an Atheist, but I prefer the name Humanist. I believe in the natural order of things.I do not believe in any God. But I do recognize the "creators" of Life;the Sun,Moon, and water. I don't "worship" them, but I do acknowledge them.

Well, by Atheist I meant someone who disregards gods and spirits as well as doesn't worship them, and I am not picky about my path, but it is this path that I refuse to take. I find it somewhat ignorant just to say its outright fake and I have some feeling that urges me to believe in something. Anyways, I was thinking shamanism or druidry, both sound like very peaceful paths, from what I know, but I will need to look at it more.

I've been in a similar situation as you and it caused me great pain among others even from those who did not lie to me. You shouldn't be looking for others to name a spiritual path that would suite you. This path needs to call to you when you study into it. It just isn't about the rules that you abide by. It is also about what you can connect to and what feels right for you.

From my own experience, not doing this caused me a lot of trouble (even if some of the rumors were lies) and my mind became diluted and I felt like I was betrayed but you may not experience the same experience as I. I am just lucky enough to have a couple of reputable friends on here who understand me and helping me.

Going through changes in your life is hard which I feel like that those whom are older than you have forgotten what it is like and become annoyed over time. It can promote misunderstandings and to drive people you still acknowledge to go away.

I wish you the best of luck with your change and transaction from faiths. I do hope that you do not have to go through the same pain as I did.

Thank you for your advice. I haven't felt much in the way of pain from this changing, at least not yet, however, I will admit, it still causes some pressure. Thank you again for both the advice and words of kindness.
