Signs a spell is working?

What would they be? Thanks!!!

I imagine that you would know a spell is working when your goal for that spell is being accomplished. For example, a spell to better a relationship with a friend would begin showing progress in that relationship. It all comes down to the spell you casted, it should be quite clear if the spell is working or not.
