Materials?

Is there anything useful that I could use any of these for?
-whiskers (cat)
-acorns
-drift wood
-sea glass
-bird feathers
-a bird's nest
-bay leaves
-dried pick roses
-eucalyptus leaves

I have a few different colored candles and some incense as well, but I can't seem to find any spells that use most of these things.

The first few I mostly would like to know what they symbolize, if anything.

Thank you!!!

Cat whiskers would make a pretty curio necklace if you put them in a tiny glass jar with a cork. They could also be used like this and dedicated on an altar to Baast if they were taken from the cat without any pain and worn around the neck.
Acorns are a symbol of beauty! With a hot glue gun and some bobby pins, you can make some very pretty hair pins. You could place them on an altar and dedicate them to Artemis and wear them when you feel down.
Drift wood makes pretty wands/staffs/altar pieces when doing water magick or nature magick. Just make sure that you bake it in an oven or freeze it so that it kills any parasites that may be on it if you found kit o the beach.
Sea glass is again a pretty altar piece, but i like to drill little holes in mine and string them up and make a kind of sun catcher.
Bird feathers can be bundled together and used to waft incense over the surface of an object or over a general area to cleanse it. They also look pretty in your hair.

As far as a bird's nest, I'd just put it on my altar permenantly to honor the Nature gods.
When you say bay leaves, do you mean bay laurel or just bay...?
Pick roses have the same botanical properties as a primrose.
Eucalyptus leaves have lots of uses in love spells. Check there!
Hope this helped.

Oh wow! That helped a ton!! Thank you so much!!
I still live with my parents so I'm not able to do a lot of real spell-work or anything, but I do have an altar and the curio necklace/hair pins are excellent ideas!!

Thank you so much for explaining some things! I get sort of overwhelmed on here. :P

You know any serious practicer would not ask what you can do with some random ingredients, but instead ask what ingredients you would need for som spell

Guardleone, she just wanted some ideas on how to use these things. Personally those were some pretty neat ideas on how to use them!

I have read ONE book. I have some materials. And I am trying to use this site to learn. I am not a "serious" practitioner. I never claimed to be. I'm just looking for some advice and information. xx

Thanks you guys.

Roses are, of course, great in love spells or as an offering for Venus or Aphrodite. Eucalyptus has healing and protection attributes. Bay leaves are used for strength, protection, healing, cleansing and aiding in developing psychic powers. I've added it to water before to help with cleansing.

Just make sure that birds are not using a nest before taking it. Also, be aware that it is technically illegal to have bird feathers or nests in the USA. No one's going to bust down your door or anything but it could be a problem if you wanted to sell these things or something made with the feathers.

You might be able to make a wand out of the driftwood. Sea glass can be used for divination purposes. I've seen some rune sets made from sea glass. You could also make a pendulum or just toss the sea glass like you might toss bones or seashells.

How are you getting kitty whiskers? o.O I assume you're not hurting cats. I would use cat whiskers for happiness and luck spells as long as you did not hurt the cat to get the whiskers. But if anyone hurts a cat for magical purposes, may Bast curse them for the rest of their lives.
