Magic for beginners?

Well I'm new at this and I want to practice on casting spells but I don't really know which to choose from because I'm afraid that I might end up hurting myself if I miscast it. Is there anything safe for beginners like me or is there something else that I can do?

As a beginner, don't try to cast. Instead, focus on nature and the energy within the earth and yourself. Learn how to meditate and communicate with your God.

Yep! Do it! Cause I learned the hard way not to start on casting right away!

As the previous posters have said you should not start off attempting to cast new spells. There are several good "Newbie" areas on this site I highly suggest you read. They will help you with the basics such as meditation, energy control, and give you a general feel for magic. Also you should consider which path you wish to follow. The previous poster said something about "communing with your god" do you have one? none? several" perhaps not a god but a goddess? Magic starts with research before any actual practicing.
