Rank?
By:

I've seen all around this website, people being ranked as a beginner to adept.

I've been curious how this happens. Is it assigned to you? Do you have to apply to become a beginner to adept? I am only curious and I don't know how this works. Can someone explain it to me?

Thank you for your time! Blessed Be!

There have been other postings regarding reputation. Here is one that has quite a bit of information in it.

Your supposed to earn your rank. The more experienced in magic you are and how much you contribute to the site determines your rank. However it takes a while to get a rank for some. For example I have been in chat a lot and even posted stuff in the forums, including an article, and still have yet to receive a rank. Not only can you gain a rank, but you can also lose a rank to.

A wise old man once told me that in martial arts a belt is only good to hold up ones pants. Why are we so worried about a rank that is given on a website where we are only able to do so much to demonstrate our knowledge and skill. Rank is determined by how much useful and practicle informtion you contribute. Just because you are in the chat room all day doesnt count. You want to earn rank read the forum posts and respond with good and relavent answers on a regular basis. Contribute useful articles and maybe videos or something like that.

Members ranked knowledgable or adept vote on the ranks of other members. Personally, I don't like the ranking system, or see much of a point in it.
