good speels for a noob?

hey all I have done some spells from this website before and had some success and have been trying to figure out other spells that would be good to help me build up my abilities as a beginner. I am not looking for anything to terribly serious at the moment, so any suggestions are welcome. my eventual goals are astral projection and shapeshifitng.

I suggest that you learn more about magick; what it is and what it can do before you start casting spells.

Knowing how magick works would be very helpful here. General info/ Starry's Starting Out and Basics Expanded by awaketoolong will be good reads for you. Blessed Be...

I suggest you cast realistic spells. Do not waste your time trying to physically shape-shift as such spells aren't realistic and can't potentially work.
Perhaps knowing which spells potentially work and which ones are realistic will be a significant progress for you which will eventually help you 'build up your abilities' - which is exactly what you aim for.

Spells won't let you physically shape-shift or transform to something you are not as spells are mainly energy manipulation and direction towards a specific goal. That won't let you change your physical appearance. You should always remember that.

Read, learn, and understand how spells and energy manipulation work.

When it comes to spells, you should cast only for serious reasons and when you need something importantly. Spells aren't cast for fun.

The first thing to understand is that spellwork is not as simple as finding some spells on the internet, lighting a few candles, chanting some words and **POOF** magic happens. Until you understand how and why magic works and have mastered the basics it is unlikely that any spell you try to cast is going to be effective. I would recommend starting with some good books on the subject. I suggest the following:

"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman

"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar

"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson

"Modern Magick" by Donald Kraig

But I would like to add, even if you do not have knowledge from a book, or someone more advanced, you can make it work with candles, incense, a short chant, as long as your intent is very strong. When I sat down to sort out my life by burning candles and marking items for magick, and writing it all down, the next day I got a job.

What I did was move out energy that was holding me up, and when I did that, what I needed came through.

Whitchcraft is a lot like art lessons, you can "play" around with it in a simple, non toxic way, and this teaches you more than anything else.

A lot of people will disagree with this claim, but the more you branch out, the more places you will go.
