I have seen some people commenting on forum posts in what I think is at least less than respectful(thinking of one person in particular). The original creator of the thread could be asking something about what went wrong with a spell they did or how to start work in a particular area. The problem I have is when these questions are asked and the response is somewhere along the lines of "the spell is fake/a fluff" or that what the creator of the thread was interested in learning is not possible.

Its all based on what you believe. If you don't believe its possible, I think its simple enough to just leave the thread alone or unanswered. But if you really feel the need to answer or respond, I think its only respectful to state that you don't *believe* its possible (accepting that they may believe otherwise).

I'm sorry if this seems petty, but iv seen this in at least 5 of the firums iv read so far and it bothers me. I've seen a person who just seemed to continuously say "that's not possible," " its not important to learn that," there are no spells on that" and just really downing the person instead of giving a legitimate response to their question. I would understand if they were asking about changing eye color or hair color or growing wings, but those are the kinds of posts I try to avoid and not the types I'm talking about here. Even in that case I think said person should be left go, seeing as how there are multiple places to learn about why they don't work on this site.

One person in particular that iv seen appears to think that he/she is wrong about nothing, that she/he knows everything, and has even commented on a thread that the types of question said person was asking annoyed him/her.

Anyway I wanted to make a general thread about it for many people to see any maybe consider why theyr saying before they say it. I also wanted to make a post for all to see without mentioning any particular names to prevent offense and conflict to a certain degree. I'm having a hard time keeping my mouth shut, so a statement to the general public I thought could help spread word around.
Offense not intended, nor is everything referring to one person in particular.

We are permitted to give advise to people who are into "Transformation" spells or "Fake Magic(k)" if they do not like it then it's their problem, as we are tired of seeing the same thing over and over again, we start to call it fluff. This site was meant for people to learn serious magic(k) and or how to use it, to share true knowledge on magic(k).

I *did* mention that I wasn't referring to those types of spells.

Okay but still people were meant to join this site to share their knowledge. Correcting people if their wrong will help them learn....the whole point of joining this site, is to place knowledge and realist facts. So again this site was meant for serious learning place.

That's fine. But its one thing to say hey I don't believe that you can do that and another to just say 'oh my god you're so stupid. Thes kinds of questions always annoy me. Doing that thing that the person above me just suggested, is completely unnecessary. Its common sense, I mean really?' N stuf like that. When you hav 10 years experience and the person asking is just asking and its clear theyr a beginner. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. If you are gonna pms all over the place over a simple 'where do I start?' Or 'how do you do this meditation?' Or 'I need someone to help me out, I just can't seem to get it right' then maybe you need a counselor. The kinds of comments I'm talking about are border line verbal attack.

THAT'S what I'm talking about. Its fine and all if you wanna tell them to do some research, that nobody can do what they wanna do, or whatever. But there's no need to express annoyance at someone who is clearly just a beginner and probably even says that, but theyr just asking there's no need to get hostile.

If its a serious learning place then there needs to be some change in attitude. That's all I'm saying

I see where you are getting at Dezzy and I agree with you though I am still "new" to actually practicing magick even though I studied it and looked into it for years. Though I know on chat and forums most people after awhile they repeat themselves so much that they start to snap at the beginner's because most of them started on there own and didn't find information about magick from someone else but from looking it up themselves. In this case I believe that there should be a reading guide pop up that comes right when you sign up for this site so it can keep the "fluff" and non-fluffy questions to a minim so most people won't get annoyed or such in a week or so. Or a special chat just designed for questions, (besides live chat) where a question has to be ask to comment in that area and te live chat can be for people to talk about magick topics and sharing experiences. Then again that's just my opinion..

i do see your point, and i try my best to answer questions respectfully without upsetting anyone, sometimes people snap because the same questions are asked over and over on here and sometimes people get sick of typing out a long winded explanation. once you know what magick is, then i agree with the stating you don't believe in this type of magick, but saying you don't believe physical transformation is possible, when it's a fact, its wrong. saying you don't believe in weather magick, that i understand because it's a grey area.

this is a site where people come to learn. [should be, but most come for the spells, let's be honest] as a site of education the members who have studied longer should have the self control to not comment on something just to start a fight, or when they do comment, it's helpful, not a one word answer. we're all human though, so sometimes we will post something just to upset someone. i would suggest studying, maybe provide some links, but i agree, the 'that's fluffy no-sense' or hateful comments for the sake of an argument needs to stop. i can say though these have gone down from my observation. [oh, and a quick word to the wise Dezzy, careful arguing on the forums, if it gets too heated you can get in trouble.]

Thank you for stating what I have wanted to say so many times Dezzy xD. If you get annoyed by a question people then don't answer it. I just switch to another topic lol. No one is forced to answer everyones questions and most of this is dependant on belief structure. Changing your dna may not be possible but there is quite a bit out there that does not make sense to some and is still possible ;)

Dezzy I am not trying to be rude I am simply stating fact. There are tons of fake and fluffy spells on this site. Like "How to become a Mermaidwerevamp. You can Not change your DNA Period. I know there are those out there that refuse to believe it, but it is the truth. Most that believe stuff like that are new to magick or all excited because they just went and seen the latest "Harry Potter Movie"
We are All born human get use to it that will not ever change in this realm.
