Question about Deities

When one does a spell or incantation, do you HAVE to invoke a God or Goddess for it to work? Or is it just to give it an extra boost?

You don't need any God or Goddess' aid for a ritual or spell, unless you want to. If you honor a certain deity, you may wish to involve them, but otherwise it's just your choice.

Best not to Invoke them, to invoke means to bring them into your being, usually not the best idea. Evoke them is better, that is just calling them to you as you would call a friend to come to you.
