Greetings

Hello to all. I've been ghosting the forums and spell books for a few months now. Watching and learning a couple things here and there. I work mostly with Tricksters from different pantheons, such as Loki, Coyote and Crow. I am a firmly believe that the magick is in the journey, not the end result.
As i mentioned, i've watched the site for a while, and i've noticed a thing or two. First that striving for the impossible is deeply frowned upon. However, if you strive for the impossible, you can learn many things along the way. I strive for physical shifting. Will i ever achieve this goal? Most likely not. However, along the way i've learned to shift my consciousness to almost anything i wish. It has helped me greatly with astral projection. And has also helped with shifting in the astral.
I also seek to create flame from nothing. Again not something i will likely achieve. However it has helped me to understand the fire element a little better. When we strive for the impossible, (gods i hate that word) we can learn so many things along the way.
One other thing. Working with Trixters has taught me to be flexible, and to always look behind the curtain. Expect the unexpected and enjoy life...your never getting out of it alive!
Thanks for your time.

Hello Trixter. A long time ago someone told me anything is possible if you want it badly enough... I agree with you strive for what seems impossible..you never know what you will accomplish along the way.

Well from my own experience on the site it is not the striving for the impossible that is frowned upon but the claims of unrealistic feats lacking any reasonable supported theory or evidence. For example your goal of physical shifting, there is nothing wrong with having that as a goal but without a significant theory as to how it may or may not be achieved all we have to fall back on is the abundance of scientific theory and evidence that it is not. Encouraging unrealistic claims of such feats is ultimately deluding the practitioner. If someone is ever willing to propose viable theories as to why any "impossible" feat may work I am more than happy to listen to them and point out any flaws I can spot which may help them improve such a theory. If on the other hand they are looking to claim unsupported feats or are unwilling to listen to such advice (which is all too often the case) then it is hardly surprising that such individuals are greeted with hostility.

On another note however, welcome to the site and I hope you enjoy your time here.

Thank you, i look forward to my time here. As i've mentioned, my it's not about the goal but the journey. I do agree whole heartedly that proof should be provided with each achievement. And you must have realistic expectations. However, it is because many have striven for the impossible that we have made many surges forward in scientific knowledge. We grow and learn by pushing our boundaries. You seem an intelligent man. I do hope many more are like that on here.
