Meditation questions ????

Hey guys. I'm struggling with meditation, I have a few questions (Please don't think I'm stupid for asking all these stupid questions).


1) When I meditate, how do I clear my mind? Like should I just keep saying in my head "clear mind" or should I focus on my breathing or what?

You could try focusing on your breath. I'm no expert, I have trouble with this too. But generally the idea is to focus on one thought, whatever you're meditating on.

Listen to the sounds of your breath like you're listening to a song. Focus on the darkness as you close your eyes. Let everything just fall away.

There are many wonderful answers for the same question in this thread, all of them are great. Some present analogies about the human mind (brain) and the process of emptying it, and some of them offer and present several forms of meditation to overcome this problem ( do something with the problem of clearing the mind) by practicing. Listen very well to Webstar and Othala, their posts definately give you a great explanation and solution for your little problem of meditation.

You could listen to medetation music and focus on that,there is a lot of music that you could prabably use as medetation music on youtube,or if it's a praticular kind of medetation,you could do what i do and find a video that tells you how to do it,listen to the video,and just do as it says.

When you are Meditating first take some Breaths it could be any type of breath. You can concentrate in the Darkness you see inside your Mind or Visualising something good like a moment or a object that you like. Don't forget to take some breaths. Normally when i first started in Meditation i used to have different problems arising in me like lack of concentration, not getting in a Comfortable Positions. As time went i began to get attached to like a daily practices. Take some time when doing Meditation. Hope it helps
