An observation

I made an observation. It is about the auras. I think I noticed a way to see them. Of course I need someone's help. I noticed that the aura can be seen with a colored background. For example, I saw my aura of my hand on a blue background. I'm not so sure if it is possible from others to see the aura from the same color. I believe it is about the DNA of the eyes, so someone else cannot notice that with the same color. All I need to know is if you have seen the auras from any colored background or else my observation is wrong.

I suggest practicing with a flower first. A fresh cut flower or house plant usually has a nice bright aura, and you can get some distance from it so that you are not straining your eyes. Auras are energy, and once you can see the energy of one thing you can see the energy of anything (including spirits, other auras and your own magick).

Meditate just before hand so that you are relaxed. Don't try hard. The harder you try, the less you'll see. Gaze as you would when scrying, don't stare. When you see it don't tense up or get excited. Remain calm and continue focusing and you'll begin to see even more. The longer you do this, the clearer it will get. The minute your eyes start feeling tired, stop, because you won't make any progress with strained eyes.

Background doesn't really matter. Some say white is best, but the one factor I find most important is lighting. Dimmer light is best, especially candlelight or a lamp with a good shade in the room. I can see energy and its color and shape very well, but in direct sunlight or a super bright room, I can only see outlines and I have to really try to see those outlines.

My theory is energy creates its own light (since it is not tangible it cannot reflect light wavelengths) which is why most people see spirits at night. It isn't that they come out only at night *enter spookie music* it's that the dark and quiet calmness makes it easier to notice them. =)

I believe that colors are somewhat in the eye of the beholder and are very much connected to our DNA. People who suffer from color blindness tend to very in severity from a can't tell black from navy blue to more severe cases were some blues and greens will look the same. This is true for all the non-primary colors since primary colors usually can be told apart. Males are more prone to suffering from this issue because the trait for color blindness is carried on the X chromosome and it is also a recessive trait.

I have also noticed that two people who are not colorblind will tend to see the same item/color differently. One may see a color more of a blue rather than more of a green while the other sees more of a green then a blue. The same can be said for shades of blue and purple. It all depends on the person's perception.

The same can be true of auras because an aura is a manifestation of how we perceive a person/being's energy.

Kts and WhiteRav3n both make some very valid points. A persons perception of the energy itself will make a difference in the color. At one point most colors seemed faded to me. At another, they all looked as though they were being viewed through a red light. It was due to changes in my eyes. Even people with perfectly healthy eyes will sometimes argue color. It is sometimes easier to see auras when there is a dark background though :)

Thank you for all of your tips everyone. But I was wondering, because I used to meditate and been relaxed when I done that. So maybe it is about relaxation and colors, but I'm not so sure about that. So, here's my question, did relaxation and colors have a connection about the auras?

Everything is connected in some form. While meditating you become more aware thus changing your perception of things.
