Umbrakinesis is a term for what others might call shadow magick, and yes, people do practice it. I don't fully understand it, so here is a link that might help you

Using ones shadow as anything from a spy, to manipulate others shadows most common technique known is the "ninjitsu" technique shadow binding

Ninja lore isn't common, and this sort of "magic" springs more from more modern mythology than any actual text. Indeed, for the most part actual "ninja lore" is contained in scrolls that outsiders are not allowed to study and have their authenticity somewhat contested in the realm of martial arts history.

Funny u shud ask. I know nada but MyTelekinesis helped me with mastering this particular skill with moving still shadows. Best of luck!
