The Wiccan ritual known as Cakes and Ale is often celebrated as a way of thanking the gods for their blessings. This is done at the end of ritual by asking for the blessing of the cakes and ale (sometimes called cakes and wine)before consumption. It's purpose aside from thanking Deity is to help you ground and center and bring you back to the here and now. Depending on the traditions way of approaching this, this can be done before the circle is open, or after the circle is open. Cakes are usually just cookies prepared in the shape of crescent moons, and the ale can be alcoholic or it can be apple cider, juice (usually dark, like grape juice), or even water.
